SPOONHILL RD. - MARLBOROUGH, MA

The owners of this ca. 1760 Colonial home had previously restored the existing living area and exterior features. RDA’s goal was to help rearrange the living spaces as needed to create a modern kitchen reflecting the traditional style of the house. A redesigned space above the garage to accommodate a new office/guest suite was also provided.

The new design was accomplished by transforming an existing breezeway connector into the kitchen use, and by adding a new breakfast area off of this new kitchen, which allowed for a new stair and link to the space above the garage. An added bonus of this work allowed for the previous kitchen space to be transformed into an inviting rear entrance foyer for the house.
